I had a very entertaining day today at Mildenhall Library where I was invited to go and give an Author’s talk to their Tops Book Club. Thank you all for making me so welcome and a special thank you to Denise for inviting me. I’m looking forward to a few more sign-ups to my mailing list once you’ve all read my novel! The business of Writing is a huge learning curve but one of the most enjoyable spin-offs of being an author must surely be the wonderful comments and support, so freely given, from members of the public who up until now have been complete strangers. I’m not a great pro-activist on Facebook or Twitter and struggle hard to think of a single Tweet to twit on numerous occasions. But talking to enthusiastic readers in person is a completely different kettle of fish and I love it. When I get an email from someone I don’t know, telling me how much they’ve enjoyed my book, it fills me with real pleasure and I appreciate and thank every single one of those people for taking time out of their day to contact me. I’m still working hard on The Night is a Lonely Place. It’s about to go off for a final Edit and I’m really hoping that it won’t be too long now before it’s up and out there. If you want to be the first to know when it becomes available please do sign up to my newsletter and I will be only too happy to send you an email when it comes out. You will also then be automatically entered into my online competition for a signed copy of my novel, Cry From The Grave. Closing Date: 30th September 2014. Good luck and look forward to hearing from you soon. Carolyn
