I know I’m not the only one to think that life is busy but it just IS! And everything seems to take so much time – whether it’s sitting at home sorting admin, trailing the countryside seeing my lovely children, gardening, golfing, WRITING. All these things take up so much time and it seems the older I get the less time I have in the day to do them. Add to that the love/hate relationship I have with all things computerised and you’ll begin to understand why it is I’m so pleased that the Night is a Lonely Place is finally coming together.
I’m off on holiday to Crete with some girlfriends in a couple of weeks and I’m probably being very naive believing that I might actually get some time to do some quality editing of my manuscript – but there it is – I live in hope! The trouble is I can all too easily be seduced by the dark side – bottles of wine and girlie chats well into the early hours have all too often led to my downfall. My husband’s already bought me a hangover cure pack – funny man!
My India trip seems a long time ago now but the memories will last forever. I’ve a feeling some of the memories from Crete may well be best forgotten but if the end result is a finished manuscript I won’t be complaining.
You’ll have to wait until next month’s Blog to find out how we got on.
